Drag LSDs
Hey guys I keep looking through all the different LSD setups for our cars, most seem to be adjustable in their lock ups and most seem to be utilized for course racing. My question is how many of you have changed your LSD specifically for drag racing, and why did you choose that LSD as opposed to the other options.
We've seen plenty of cars go 11's and 10's with factory VLSD's.
Your best bang for buck to help traction is DR's or slicks so most go this route first.
I'm waiting for a LSD with and electronic switch for full on positive traction. I have seen some for Mustangs.

Yeah im not really in the market for one I was just curious on peoples setups, seeing as a posi is a big thing for at least most american draggers. I've just been running through sites and seeing full "drift" setup LSD's that look like they almost make the car run like a solid rear end, I was just wondering if anyone was utilizing any of these types of setups on the strip.
Im in no rush to do so, but my stock VLSD will start to peg leg when burning out hard. I also come out of the hole kinda sideways (uneven power distribution) most of the time which isnt a big deal but one of the things I always hear of high power aftermarket LSD set-ups is that the car stays straighter when applying power. I'll be looking into one in the not so near future, but Im limited by the 3.3FD....
I'm running a Nismo LSD set to 80% lock in 1.5 way configuration. Primarily setup for drag/street driving. Was mostly silent while the fluid that came with the kit was new, but 1k miles later, it's a noisy SOB. I've got my Motul coming from Forged.
