thats weird, you all have diff. top speeds. lol. i got mine up to 130 so far (i bought it in june) it got up there pretty damn quick..so what it slows down after it hits 150?

i think the motordyne plenum spacer is probibly gunna be the first thing on my list. maybe than it will hit 160 with no problem..thanks for the feed back guys.

no it does not slow down, you just CAN NOT "afford" to make a mistake. I got to 154 as i said in 5th, and it was around 6500-6800 rpm, might have been round 7000 , the tach was running out of numbers for sure, did not look carefully, but it does go well above 150mph

I got up to 159 on the digital readout, felt like it had a little more to give, but I was beginning to get a bit "concerned" about how fast I was going. Got to 130 in fifth and then went to sixth. Once I shifted it felt like it took a little longer to accelerate up to 140 and then to 150. Once I hit 159 I let off, couldn't afford to make a mistake, my concern was starting to turn to just plain old scared . It was last winter around 2:30 in the morning so that may explain why it felt like there was more left to give.

You shifted way early. 5th is good for 140-142mph...

I've pegged my 2004.5 base quite a few times... it's undoubtedly limited to 159mph. I've kept it pegged for miles at a time.... even up and down hills.... it will not budge from 159. When you go downhill you can feel/hear the engine letting up.... and when you go uphill you can hear it working harder. Without the limiter it should have another 5-10mph easy.
