I was running 13.6, 13.7 allnight there with crappy 2.2 60's. When Ilined up against Todd His carjust shot out the hole like I was standing still. Those gears really help down the strip.

They do help alot out of the hole. When do you plan on having them installed on your car Jon?

I need to mess with my Utec tune a little more. But when i tried to log onto the Utec at the track, i could not connect to it. Something is weird. I know its still working or my car would not be running right ( larger MAF housing )

Cant wait to go to the track again.

Nice to see you again Jon.. Still need to find time to talk with you about a few things.

Nice improvement you got there, 12's are close, once things cool off a little here I'm also gonna go for the elusive 12.999!

PIR is closed for renovation for the rest of the year. It's a ****ty track, so hopefully the renovation does some good (read: maybe a flat 1/4 mile strip without all the crap on it... and some prep? lol)

Is that the only track you guys have up there? oh, and what is the tracks elevation? I looked on their very unorganized website and could not find this info.

PIR is like 180 ft or so. The track is about the same quality as their site

I can go to Woodburn (woodburndragstrip.com), but they don't have any "test & tunes" right now (and when they do it's like 3pm to 8pm on Fridays, which I can't make it to since they're an hour away and I work til 5.. eh). I don't own a helmet, and Woodburn won't rent them out. I'll get one 13 second run in and get kicked off the track

weird, my ET's sucked, but i was trapping the same as before. Maybe i have lots to gain in times as well as mph. If conditions are ideal hopefully I can hit 113 or so.

the difference in air in the fall will be plenty of difference to get him into the 12s.

I think you are right.... Looking forward to heading back..

What will make me happy is... Saying I drive a 12 second Z with out FI.... Then i think i will be able to make the jump to some sort of FI... Might look into some Nitrous down the road.

a person who maxes out a n/a combo like that will generally have a badass nitrous setup. its when youget someone who cant drive that bandaids crapppy driving with ower and runs a 12.8-13.0 at 111 on the bottle.

if you are a consistant 12.8 -13.0 on motor and toss a conservative shot on there and spray in FIRST, you can look to run a 12.0-12.4 at 110-112.

might be a good path for you.

I have never messed with Nitrous, so i have alot to learn. I wont happen until next year anyway. I want to have the cams and the heads ported first and see what that does on the strip.

Thanks for your insight Snoozer

Thanks man,

Been messing with this car for over 4 years now, and I still get excited trying new things. And with these gears i know they helped alot. Before it took all the car had to hit 13.3's twice.

This past time at the track, i hit 13.3's atleast 8 times, then a 13.2, followed by two 13.1's.

Alberto gave me some more ideas to try with my Utec tune. So i will be messing around with that some more aswell.

Good stuff

And so you still finish in 4th gear, or do you shift to 5th?
