If I mess up a 60' I don't want to wait an hour or to run again. 50-100 cars max or there is no point. As Tom said, Saturday Night Showdowns you can easily run 5-10 times if you stay the whole time.
Hell, Tamparacing.com does three events a year with 100 cars max and you can run your brains out. What your discribing is what we're trying to avoid IMO.

Thats true guys. I was just trying to get the cost down. Well then I like the 100 car max. But keep it open to spectators. Are we going to start pushing this event? I think having time will make it easy.

I'll help in any way I can...the 100 car max will be perfect. If you do 100 cars then 35.00 per racer is doable. Heres how it works : the track is a flat 3,500.00 to rent and the amount of cars able to race is something you have to negotiate, thats what I did. I did mess up a couple things like the concession stand and the time the track was open until but when it comes to negotiating $$$$ I don't screw up. Any spectator money goes to the track. I tried that but it was non negotiable.
Like I said i will help in any way I can..

Tom you did a great job putting the event together. I thank you for a great time.
I think if we can get 100 cars or close to it for 35.00 we will have another good event with plenty of time to plan it out

Well spread the word to anyone you know and ask any potential sponsors you know. We have plenty of time so maybe we could keep this thread alive for a month or so and start keep a tally of who will for sure pay if we are to do this. That way we have an idea of the number of people interested....lets say we only get 50 people, then we could resort to a sat. night showdown or something...

I'm working on the video now. I'm just frustrated because I can't find a feature that says its in the video editor I have.

Can you get a date for the track. Let me try to work on something. Maybe I can a company I know of for some prizes to raffle off or something???? Sound good? I just need to get it worked out ahead of time.

Or you could see if they could partially sponsor it instead of prize I wonder what company you are thinking of...
Now about the date...would we want to do this before or after Xmas?

As of this moment, I don't think I'll have enough money to get everything ready and make it to FL, especially not by December. And when I do get everything, it'll probably be spring of 08. I think after the holidays would probably be best for everybody as I'd imagine it'd be less hectic.

Actually as you say that it might be better to have it after the 1st. Maybe end of January/early Feb?
Ill see if I can get some companieds to sponser the event/support and promote it on other sites.

Yeah, that time is really bad for me due to Christmas shopping and gf's birthday right after the holidays and whatever. Plus, even if I skipped all that, I probably won't even have enough money to be ready to carry out my plan anyway. I'll try to make it, but we'll see.
