Mine was trapping just over 104 last Sunday with 86 degree temps.

The clutch wasn't having a good launch though.

Nice job.

I noticed my traps slowly increasing even with shoddy 2.1x 60ft's and a messed up clutch when I was stock. Couldn't resist the urge to mod tho.

Good job.

The 07's are pretty strong running cars. With all my mods your still trapping 1 mph higher and your still stock.

Well, time for more mods for me. :-)

I want 50 degree temps

My traps haven't gone anywhere since 3,000 miles, The only changes have been 1/8th mile and I'm starting to think its part weather and part driver (dropped 10 degrees ambient and I've gotten a lot better).

I think with that kind of weather and the track being in good shape (usually is here) I could pull .15 off my time and run a borderline 13.2/13.19 run without too much trouble, possibly even better than that.

.15 sounds like so little, but its so hard to get that last tiny bit out!!!

right now i'm aiming at a 13.3xx, but unfortunately, i don't think i'm gonna make it out to the track any more this year

I hear that, but I was able to pull time off with a 3 degree temperature change (200 feet in DA) and 97% humidity, with no VHT to work with. The track had grip because of rubber that was getting put down, but not like I'm used to.

I think I can get a better time. A friend I was running with went on the saturday after the wednesday we ran and he pulled 3 tenths off his best time, all of it in the 1/8th because the track was so much stickier.

Its all in conditions and driving the **** out of the car.

Man, I can't wait to take mine to the track. Going on the 20th if everything works out.

BTW, what RPMs are you guys launching at? And do you reduce the tire pressure at all?

Leave the tire pressures at 35 psi cold.

I'm launching at 4,500-5,500 RPM's depending on what the track holds and how my clutch likes me that day.

4,500 has my best time, 5,500 has my best 60' and 330' time.

Slip it less and don't let it get so hot. Its close for me and sometimes I have to put my foot under it and pull it off the floor, give it less throttle, and wait for it to grab.

i tried the whole put ur foot under it and pull it up, i can pull up the pedal, but the clutch doesn't grip still, only the pedal goes up, not what's attached to it. but i'll try less slipping, thanks for the tip
