Default First visit since s/c removal

Well, i went and added some headers and a crank pulley to my mod list and figured it was time to hit the track again.

I made one pass and only one. I lined up launched from 2800rpms and spun my 275's all the way through 1st gear and got a 2.3 60ft(sucks bad for me, bad track prep). I get to the 1/8 and it starts to sputter some and i go to 4th and it gets worse and i let off. I coasted to a 14.3@92 and let off a good bit before the end of the track. I got a ses light and went on home. I was driving just making sure everything was alright. I was almost home and figured i would watch the wideband for a 3rd gear pull. It started at 12.6 at 3k and at 6k it was at 10.8. My car is running extremely rich. Also cruising speeds my afrs are at 13.5 and idle at 13.9. So i get home and check the ses light and it's for a misfire on cylinder 5. I cleared the code and it hasn't come back. I think it was from the not lifting shifts and it overloaded with fuel.

When i get home today i am going to check the plugs and coils to make sure they are firing right. I have another set of injectors i picked up from jeremy(pf), i got them to change them after the s/c removal.

I am accustomed to seeing your exceptional super charger times. What happened to the supercharger?

I saw you run a pass but never got a chance to say hello. Track prep was decent for me running slicks in the right lane, but I missed 4th gear on my best pass.

Yeah, i seen you to man. The track prep was horrible. with 245's i could cut 1.8-1.9... With the 275's 2.3.....

I bet that feels pretty depressing to see your can be relatively "slow" to your old times. What's your next project?

I almost went on Sunday, but took a vacation day to help my mother move instead.

Congrats on your new PB. Next time don't miss a gear.

You're really living up to your screen name!

BTW, I will be at the DNI event at SDR on March 16th. You should come. I'm sure you would have the fastest Maxima.

Do you have the stock cats, or tp's?

My 04 threw a SES light once, with the tp's.

I figured you would be there on Sunday. I didn't really miss a gear, it wouldn't go into 4th. The clutch was slipping a little all day and once it gets hot it is hard to shift. The next pass I couldn't get it into any gear. I did run two 11.80's at 121mph and 122mph though on easy launches when I first got there.

I would like to go to that race on the 16th, but not sure I will make it.

Well, hopefully it's nothing major. I have noticed that Z's are very sensitive to fuel issues.

If I get some questionable fuel, mine will go into limp mode at times, but after re-fueling somewhere else, it goes away.

I think my SES light came on on my 04 after getting some crappy gas. After a refill somewhere else, it went off.

If you have any dsm questions let me know man. I did the dsm thing for awhile. I had 4 turbo cars and a 1.8 non turbo that i converted over to the 2.0 turbo.
