Default First Time on Drag radials, New PB ET and Trap!

Well first off thanks to Jon(Gooey) for letting me borrow his BFG drag radials. I hit a new PB of 13.30 and still had a shytty 60ft, so i think 12s by the end of the season is definitely possible. Also trapped 108 and a bunch of 107s! Only mods I have are intakes, exhausts and test pipes. I am thinking of taking off the intakes because they lose power. I got in a total of 41 runs all ranging from a few 13.3s to alot of 13.6s. Overall I am pleased with my improvement although there are still more improvements to be made, especially in the launch. So I will be a track ***** till my goal is reached!

100 shot of nitrous and you will be low 12's if not high 11's.

Yeh I really had a blast. Seeing as how taking the seat out will allow me to bring my stuff with me to the track I think I might invest in slicks rather than radials. I definitely need an LSD though, the track manager wouldn't let me do two burnouts so I was essentially only heating up one tire.

Yeh thats true, I think I might just have a really strong NA build when the time comes. I love the way a turbo feels to drive but I want to see the NA potential of the HR first.

thats what I'm looking into until theres more R&d on the turbo kits comin out.
Hey Russ just bring the wheels back anytime this week. Just let me know when youre free. Mostly likely I wont be home tonight or tommorow because I have to drop my car off at the body shop

Jon: I hear you are the man to see for stock axles. Can I get 2 spare sets from you sometime? Going to need them if I want to continue drag racing with this setup.

Currently I ran out of axles. I can order them for you but they do cost a bit more from other places.
Ill try to find more though at great prices.

Big improvement over last time. Once you experience good tires, you never want to run street tires. Good stuff.

Hmm, yeah I'll need a set or two. Could I PM you for pricing and wait for good deals?

In this area. Its goin for about $125/piece but if we look out of state we can definately get it cheaper. But I did find some out of state for around $75/piece. I think the guys I bought axles for Alberto still has a couple sets left. Theyre in Penn so itll only take a day or two to have it shipped.

75 a piece isn't bad. Will have to get back to you on that one.

Thanks. I'm thinking of buying some slicks instead of radials now but David has me worried the way he snapped that axle yesterday. But your right, I definitely dont want street tires anymore

Yeah Im definitely gonna get plenty of practice this year, but hopefully with slicks and going to capital on one of the days where they prep the track well I can make something happen. I am also looking to get the 4.083 gears and an LSD and those both should help. I guess we will see!

let me know when you are going to capitol. I'm debating whether to get 4.083 gears or the 3.3 FD.

4.083 i can shift into 5th much earlier than now, or with the 3.3 FD i only have to shift 4 times.
