Default Modded 07 350z vs. Stock BMW 650 Convertable

Thinking about racing my friend on a drag stip but I want to see if i should even bother. We both have auto's but his car weighs a lot more so im thinking i might have a chance. What do you guys think?
07 350z: Fast Intentions 2.5 test pipes/ dual 3 inch exhaust, stillen long tube dual intake, technosquare reflash(going to get it tuned on Thursday then if I race use 100 octane). Volk gt-f 295/30/19 tire in the rear
Weight around 3400

BMW 650i Convertable
weight= 4200-4300ish
HP= 360
Torque=360 lbs
275/35/19 rear

What do you think the outcome will be? Inputs or advice?

just look up what the stock 1/4 mile time is for both vehicles and it will give you some indication.

At the end of the day it comes down to the driver.

Stock 1/4 for the bmw is 13.7 and thats like a stock 07 Z. But BMW is always conservative with thier performance numbers and from being in his car it definetly felt faster than a stock Z

Powercurves can make cars feel faster than others.

A car with power in the lower rpms but having it peak early and fall off may feel quicker from the lower rpm "pull" that you'd feel.

A car with a more gradual powercurve doesn't have an exact spot where the power can be felt "kicking in".

Doesn't hold true all the time, but you get the point.

Ok sounds like a good explanation. I think im going to do a couple from a standstill then maybe like a 20 mph roll and see what happens.

Yea we want to do quarter miles to see our times and see how much the driver is involved in a straight line race and then take the driver out from a 20 mph roll on the street but we'll most likely stop at 80 on the street tops.

Driver is very much a factor from a roll, especially at 20mph when you should be in 1st and have a very quick shift to 2nd coming up. A good driver can make car lengths difference from even a 60-70mph roll!

they're both auto's so i don't see how quick shifting would factor in as much.

both cars being automatic. .i think it'll come down to who slams the pedal to the metal, and doesnt slip n loose power at the line!! u'll take a bmw off the start. but if u can hold em off at the end..u wiN!

I think people should stop askin questions one what will happen. They should just go out to the track and try it.
