my hardest shift is first to second, its hard for me to shift fast without getting bad wheel hop for about 2 seconds when I hit second. Ive tried rolling on it but it still breaks them loose. Even with new tires it seems impossible to me.

I never had that problem really at the track. I full throttle shifted and found the transition to be really smooth actually.

Not sure if its maybe your tires not being a little too slick I guess.

OP, thanks for posting up your whole slip, makes everything that much easier.

You did fine for your first time out.

With full bolt ons I only ran a 14.2 @ 99mph.

The more you practice the better you get obviously.

Ride on the Michelin Sports then go back to the UHP's they're like the loudest tire ever, I actually pulled over and checked my lugs because I thought my wheel was falling off because of the road noise, lol.

I live not more than 20 minutes from Atco and what I learned was that during the summertime is the worst time to go. The humidity and heat will considerably raise your times.

Go during November and October and you will notice that your trap speed will increase by 1-2 mph and you will be deep in the 13's. Probably a 13.5 or so. I dropped my times considerably comparing from June/July to November/December last year.

But slicks won't help you at all. That 2.0 60' is fine. One day when I'm back in NJ I'd like to bring my 06 out.

(Sorry, couldn't help it )

Anyhow, your times are not bad at all. You should be happy you have a great track to work with. Over here in SoCal, all of our tracks are junk.

I typically see 21+MPH gains past the 1/8th. You gained about 19MPH. I'd say your shifting may be the only problem. Your 60ft is great, considering you're on cheapo tires. Gain that extra 2+ miles in the final leg, and you'll net 13s all day.

Hey man, when I had 3k miles last summer in englishtown, I ran a 13.8 in 90+ degrees and humidity. Today I ran with 19.5k miles on the car, half tank of gas I couldnt do anything about and ran 14 flat basicly. I was so disapointed considering i deflated my tires to 25psi. My R/T sucked. I'm not good with the lights, was only 2nd time. I didnt get a good launch, meaning I couldnt brake torque up to the 2k I wanted. I still love my car, but it got me down running that time, saw a black Z there, he ran 14.9 =/. Everyone I went with ran .5 or .6 seconds slower.
