Talking First time @ the track, how'd I do? (vids included)

Hey guys, I haven't been on here in awhile, but now that I've got a new job and can spend more time and money on my Z, I'm sure I'll be on here a lot more.

I was at Race Legal last weekend in san diego (www.racelegal.com) for the first time, and got to participate in my first races

Real quick, here is some specs on my Z:
2003 Enthusiast
18" tires
Mishimoto Carbon Fiber Short Ram Intake
rest is stock

1st race (ever!)
The honda civic cheated and launched too early, but i still won. my reaction time blows, but it gets better.

Civic
0.460 sec reaction time (RED LIGHT cheating bastard)
10.303 sec 1/8 mile
2.435 60ft

My 350z
1.096 sec reaction time
9.949 sec 1/8 mile.
2.438 60ft

350z vs. civic

2nd race
I got owned, period.

Unknown Dodge SUV
0.680 reaction time

1.921 60ft

My 350z
0.747 sec reaction time
9.757 sec 1/8 mile
2.367 60ft

Didn't get it on video.

3rd Race
Was such a close race, but the stats ticket didn't print, so i dont know our times, but at least i have a video.

Me vs. Lancer Evolution
350z vs. evo
<a href="http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=46192270">350z vs. evo</a><br/><object width="425px" height="360px" ><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"/><param name="wmode" value="transparent"/><param name="movie" value="http://mediaservices.myspace.com/services/media/embed.aspx/m=46192270,t=1,mt=video,searchID=,primarycolor=,secondarycol or="/><embed src="http://mediaservices.myspace.com/services/media/embed.aspx/m=46192270,t=1,mt=video,searchID=,primarycolor=,secondarycol or=" width="425" height="360" allowFullScreen="true" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent"/></object>

Maybe you should concentrate your efforts on a new driver because the one that you have is in dire need of replacement.

Was my first time on a track buddy.

If you're going to say something negative, at least be constructive with it so you don't appear to be socially retarded.

Just pulling your leg.

You had fun in a safe environment. Much more mature than street racing fools. A couple of drag racing days and you will figure out how to trim tenths of a second off your reaction time and ET.

9.7 seconds will soon be, well, history.

BTW here are some respectable reaction times:

Congrats man! No worries on your reaction time dude, just keep practicing.

The first time I went to the track I got beat by a whole second by a freaking Integra. I had the traction control on and then I couldn't get it into second gear. Man it sucked really bad!!!!! But I had fun

I've had a bit more practice and you can really tell the difference. Keep it up man and congrats again.

LOL

Each race you got quicker and quicker. Getting the 350z off the line is tricky esp when it's your first time. I see RT's and 1/8m ET's but no 60' times. Do you have those? They will greatly help in determining where your first improvements can come from...

edit: Ahhh, I see that you were not on a track... street legal racing? cool stuff!! no 60' times I take it...

R/T means nothing

You are 1 second off the good driver pace, we need 60ft's for better evaluation......

reaction time is not too bad i would work on it though dont be scared to launch before its green if it helps to learn to get a better take off ...i ran a 9 flat on the 1/8th mile and all i really have for big mods are jwt clutch /flywheel/and intake with a lsd so i mean it just takes practice bro not to bad though..

his r/t dosent matter. let him sit at the line for 5 seconds if it means he is going to pull better than a 2.3 60
