sounds like driving only needs improvement not weight reduction. . .my first drag was in my 93 prelude with 198,000 miles. . .14.7 stock then 14.3 with drop springs added and intake. . .that thing was still kickin after back to back passes with a crap load of miles. . .just work on your launch and you'll be fine. . .

Guys. This is a 350Z ROADSTER. The Altima has a 20HP disadvantage, but a 250lb advantage. It should be a dead even race.

i agree. those cars were kinda fast... I thinh the fastest fwd car in that class and lower classes till the srt4 came out. I could be wrong, but i think that was a sales pitch for the Altima SERs first 6month sale period.

i had a feeling someone would object to that but it's true and i don't have any vids of it cause no one ever wanted to make the long drive to the track with me, had time slips but didn't keep them after the car was totalled, someone ran in the back of me. . .it's been about 5 years since i've had the prelude and i would still love to have one, a 93 with h22a or a1, not the last gen ludes. . .but sorry no vids. . .oh, it was gutted also, just me and the drivers seat . . .didn't really take off much weight but i guess every lil bit helps. . .

power brake to no more than 2000rpm then ease throttle right after releasing the break, just until you notice good forward movement ( that means you got traction) then floor it. shift as close to redline as you can, the auto z shifts fast enough. That how I do it.. It gave me 13.9 @ 101 .. My average is 14.1-2.. I did it with my mods listed below and all runs done with 20 inch rims.

You need new tires, alignment, and/or a softer foot.
