looking for a good set up for drag race wheels and tires ,so i have a laundry list of questions but ill start out with a few of the basics to get me started in my search

I have nonbremb brakes and my fenders are not rolled

1. what is the smallest diameter rim( lightest) that will fit without rubbing the brakes?
2. what is the widest rim to run for a slick (8,9)?
3. Backspace 4.5, 5.5 ?

fronts ill try n get a skinny on so more interested on your ideas as to what to do for rears, The track nearest to me is an 8th so should it be a better idea for me to run a 26 or a 28'' slick?

 

Racing slick sizing is generally wheel width plus 1 inch. So for a 9 inch wheel you run a 10 inch slick..

1/8 mile racing makes it interesting. You will want to cross the finish line at the top of some gear. I do not know what rear end gear you are running or what tire sizes so I cannot make recommendations.
