Default I bogged both of my launches today

I must be a baby or something. I only got 2 runs today and bogged hard out of the hole.

First run had a 1.89 60ft, and I ran12.4 @ 113
2nd run was a 1.80 60ft with a 12.3 @ 113.3 outcome.

I'll post the full slip details down here...

60'-1.896
330-5.284
1/8-8.057
mph-89.52
1000-10.458
1/4-12.450
mph-113.02

60'-1.804
330-5.173
1/8-7.938
mph-89.81
1000-10.320
1/4-12.320
mph-113.30

I need a 1.65 60ft to feel like I accomplished something at the track. When I learn how to launch...look out!

I went 12.6 with street tires and a 75 hp shot, but only 12.3 with a 100hp shot and BFG's.
The first launch was 4.5K letting the clutch up fast. The second was 5K, letting the clutch up fast as well.

How would I go about the magical 1.65 short time?

Does a 6K launch sound ridiculous to anyone? I'm not really into breaking things, though I have been described as "mechanically insensitive.
Question...would an LSD really help out much with my current level of mods?
DR's, 100 shot, full exhaust, Tanabe GF210's?

Lsd woud help if your open diff. If your vlsd your probly fine. Sounds like your problem is your not slipping the clutch enough. Before you try a 6k, try to get your clutch slip down. Great runs still.

If you are going to drag race you will break stuff. That is a given. The 350Z can make more horsepower than the drive train can withstand. Slicks will give you all the traction that you need.

But the critical point is the independent rear axles. They will fail at some time.

Regardless of the bogged launch......still quite impressive for a 100 shot. Seems like it could have some 12.0-12.1's in it with ideal conditions/track prep/and good launch. Good luck.

I used to slip the clutch from about 4K nder stock power. It's probably ready for a replacement. I just passed 18K miles last week. It's been dragged since mile 900. I made it 18 days into break in.

I think good launches will come with more seat time. I pulled a 1.98 60ft on my Eagle F1's. I'll be happy when consistent 1.7's with spotty 1.6's are on the menu.

Do you have video?

I have gone 11's with 114mph trap only doing 88-90mph down the 1/8 and anywhere between a 1.7-1.9 60ft!

I think perhaps the shifting could improve, I feel like the car has lower times in it at a 1.8 60ft.

My buddy did 1.62 60ft on a 100 shot and ran 12.0 @ 113mph-he also had more in it.

Great showing your first time though. Bring the launch rpm up and keep up the good work.

I dont have a video, but I think my GF will be out with me on Friday night. I'll try to get one then. I need to change the clutch fluid real quick. It's pretty cloudy.
