rev to 5000 and dump the clutch. Seriously though, who really cares about 0-60, it means nothing. 1/4 mile times are what its all about.

Don't you have to go from 0-60 first

your question should be, how to properly launch, and if you do a search you will find your answer. you aren't the first to be unable to figure out an optimal way to launch

whats your point?

You can have two cars, and one may be able to go 0-60 faster than the other one, but the one with the slower 0-60 may have a faster 1/4 mile time. So like I said, 0-60 means nothing.

instead of doing that just go like 30 and see how quick you get to 90... its alot easier..have your co-pilot watch the speedo

ps... your real concern should be trying to watch the hands on your watch to see how quick you do it.

Its all good. Sort of a "trial by fire" for new members. We have some serious racers here who do not play games.

Post a time slip and lets go from there.

Fyi the 60ft mark is pretty crucial in a 1/4 time......... how you launch the car affects how our e/t will end up dramatically. if you bog/spin the tires theres a world of difference. I'm sure I've heard/read several factors that .1 in the 60ft is equal to .2 difference in the e/t.

Search albertos vids. he seems to have one of the best launchs for the Z that i've seen.

I disagree that 0-60 doesn't mean "nothing". It's a measure of your 60' time and you ability to launch the car. Given the same car, the same track, and the same driver, that with the better 60' will most likely have a better 1320' time.
