Ya, capitol. It's only a few miles from my house so without a trailer I'm staying local.

I plan on getting there right when it opens to try to get a couple quick runs before the lines get too long.

Granted it's 10 days out......accuweather predicts temps to be high 65 low 44 for Frederick on the 25th. If the weather is that cool I might jet out of work and join you. We'll see though.

I wanna make sur ei dont make the same mistake. So you over-revved it basically causing the motor to blow? Why not switch faster?

nah, the motor went, but i didnt know until the car wouldnt acclerate. the rmps would rise but i felt to acceleration. kinda like if your clutch was slipping.

^^ oh i see, how much power were you producing on which kit?

What would be your educated guess on why the motor blew, too much power?

You sure you didn't do a 3->2 shift? My buddy did that once in my car and nearly blew it.

bad/too agressive of a tune, i was running a stock block pushing 12psi with a vortech 2.87 pulley. i had it tuned by a guy who insisted low 12 afr was fine. i told him from what ive read most people usually recommended low 11's for stock motor. the tune really livened up after that tune but blew two weeks later at the track. the car ran for almost a year with no problems with the previous tune.

were u low 12's across the board all the way to redline?

right now im just on the 3.12 pulley but with my new tune which feels great and broke into 11's last night. If i do a say 4th gear pull from low rpm's i see low 12's like 12.0-12.1-12.2 max until i build some boost up then fall to high 11's and around 11.4-11.5 at redline..seems good i just want it to hold up, i gotta figure out how to hook up my aem wideband and log to my laptop or how i actually wire it to the laptop because it has a blue datalogging wire coming out of it i just have taped off, ill have to call aem or someone chime in..

U need to get a db9 connector at radio shack and connect the blue and black wires to the correct pins on the db9. Then hook it to the laptop serial port or usb to serial converter. I got the utec and aem running through a 4-port serial to usb converter so theres only one usb cable to hook to the laptop to get both utec and wideband logs.
