Which begs the question....

OP, what is your PB on street tires? Those tires with 4.08 gears should enable some healthy 60' times.

Tyler, I'm just gonna run them as track tires. . .gonna swap them out one time for IFO with my factory rims but plan to get some separate rims for them so i can just pop them on when i want. . .some skinnies up front will be soon to follow as well. . .

david, you won't have to wait that long. . .i'll have them up either the 28th or 29th of this month. . .

03threefifty, my personal best on street is 13.36 @104, 1.9 60ft <---for that run but 1.8 60' is best so far. . .i too am expecting some healthy 60' times and high to mid 12's. . .i love this stock motor. . .

i would have went with et street if u were gonna swap them out and def. not a 18" for just track tires, thats what i did for my track tires, the et streets are a much better tire, i thought you would daily drive with these ..They will be a big improvement from normal everyday street tires though

i would laugh my *** off at a 13 second car with skinnies on the front, thats a little overkill for what you have id say, you should be able to get close to 12's though with these tires...do u have the slip to upload, im curious how those gears play out...I wouldnt expect a much better 60ft. than a 1.8 though being n/a

they are ET Streets (Radial II). . .if i used these as my daily i'd eat them up quick and i don't want to pay $500 for 2 tires every 4-5mths or so. . .my INVOs (daily) have taken a beating but hold up well. . .

12's, i promise. . .lol. . .

my slip for the 1.9 is uploaded because of the pb 1/4 time but i missed 3rd with the 1.8 60' so i trashed it. . .i was after the 1/4 time, not the 60'. . .but i'll post better than 1.8 just for you. . .lol. . .

K&N drop-ins and 4.08 gears. . .i'm not lowered anymore and don't have the nismo diff. anymore. . .back to the factory open diff. . .

edit: when i made my personal best the only thing that wasn't "stock down to the tire" was the Falken 452's and the drop-in K&N's. . .

Even on ET street slicks sub 1.80 are tough to come by NA.....with the 4.08's maybe a high 1.7, but beyond that you will need a taller sidewall and more power. Gooey ran almost the exact set-up and went 12.9x.

well this is my first DR so i am kinda feeling out the tire sizes and what i like starting from the bottom on up, plus i have ALOT of runs (as many as 25-30 a night) on my stock clutch with 42k miles so i don't want to stress it too much with a taller bias-ply tire until i get a better clutch. . .which i hear that is the best tire to get for the Z's. . .

yeah i mean im cutting 1.6's launching pretty hard with my et streets and have alot more power, granted ive never gone on a day when there was track prep only on street night but still...id say maybe maybe 1.7's, but who knows maybe the gear really helps with the 60ft. time

i'd be happy with 1.7's but overall i'm gunnin for a much better 1/4 time. . .i never really worried too much about the 60' times. . .

I am also pretty sure Gooey ran his when the DA were in the negatives...he runs at one of the tracks by me (or ran). I am guessing that negative DA's won't often happen in the bayou. Also, seems like your car hooked pretty well on street tires. You are probably going to need a little more mph to get into the 12's. A high 105 at the very least with a 1.80. Just my .02.

yeah - won't happen too much out here but our track is only 23ft. above sea level so that's not bad. . .my last time at the track with the gears i hit 106.xx spinning out of first. . .never got a good run that night. . .wanting to change all that on the 28th for IFO. . .well, i'm going to eat dinner with my girlfriend. . .have a good night fellas. . .

Damn, 23 ft above sea level.

+1 on having a better dedicated track set up. You should have gone for stickier rubbers, more sidewall, and less width.

Congrats on your purchase, though. I'll be waiting for time slips showing low 1.8s or high 1.7s from you.
