Sweet, and looking forward to it.

What size are the 17" DRs? Your 275/30/19s are 25.5" tall.

I was going to take the 300, but Rob found a busted wheel bearing today, so I'll be in something else that is black.

the DR's on the 17's are 24" tall. (275/17) can't remember the middle #, but I measured them. I'll be in first gear for about a second. They look like donuts on the car.

That's too bad! ! I'm going to try to move up a couple notches in the S/C category.
If I can't do it with DR's I guess I suck at this.

Likely a 275/40/17. If you end up running them at a decent pressure, I expect your gearing to be the same.

I'm guessing you get a high 1.7s 60', which should put you about 0.2s faster, so the top 10 is in sight if you get a good run. Plus temps will be cool. With traction, that will be easy.

I can't drive the car over 5mph with them on unless I turn off the traction control, so I guess the car thinks they are shorter too. I will start at 18#. I hope they are shorter, I can use all the help I can get. I have a couple 1.8's with the 19" street tires. I think my top time on here has a 60' that is close to high 1.8. I'm just going for the chicks.............

Great time last night, guys.

Walt - was your 12.9x run your best (not including the run at Sac with the lost sheet)?

Rob ran a screaming 11.452@119.5mph in the GreddyTT 350Z. I managed a 14.4 in the wife's basically-stock roadster.

This is on street tires:15. fowlman01 --------------03 350z Auto --- Vortech 12.933@104.28mph 1.914 60ft Verified Street
Last night was: 1.942 60" and 12.914/104.62 using DR's.
I'm leaving the old time up since it was with 19" street tires and has a better 60" time. I just need to dial in these tires and I think I can go up a few places.

I shift manually....I have fast hands.
It shifts way too slow in D even though I have a shift kit. Manually I am chirping tires all the way through 4th.

I think Rob had that fast time in auto mode last night, but I bet he could knock at least a tenth off that in manual mode.

4th.
When I use the 19" street wheels and tires I shift into fourth right before the finish line. With 17" DR's on I am pretty well into fourth. I'll check it out Weds and let you know about how long. I was shifting pretty early in first gear because I thought it would hit the rev limiter quicker. I had very little improvement over the street tires, but I think that is me. I'll try to dial in the launch and first shift.

It's an auto - what more is there to dial in? Don't you just push the gas and go?
Good luck on Wednesday!

Ok everyone. A day late and dollar short, but if you still have your smiley-faced time slips, we are going to tally them up, close out last year's event, and get ready for this year's event.
