Default Finally got some runs in. They sucked though.

After having 1 race day snowed out, then rain the next 2, including last night, I finally got my 2010 baseline.

New mods for this season:
Spec Stg4 Unsprung clutch (6 puck), Fidanza 13lb flywheel, 142hp shot, -2* timing, copper plugs, tinted windows, lol.

Skipping to the jive, my best run reads as follows.

60'-1.983 (terrible track prep)
330-5.367
1/8-8.097
mph-90.40
1000-10.446
1/4-12.406
mph-115.50

I'm incredibly pleased with my trap speed. I should be well into the 11's when the track isn't spotty with 90+ humidity. Picking up 25mph on the big end is pretty BA, in my book.

I actually think the trap is low for 140 shot

Most def strong enough to run 11's though. Ive gone 11's with a 114mph trap and a 1.9 60ft.

You ran 12.0 wih 100shot? Id go back to that and work on driving to hit 11's...

If memory serves me correctly he pulled something like a 1.60 on the 100 shot....what kind of trap/mph do you pull off the spray?

I'm trapping faster than most on the bottle. It just rained for days and had wet spots on the track.

I ran 13.5@106 on street tires. 13.3 on dr's. My street tire 60's were down to 1.88.

You're more right than you know. I only picked up 92rwhp and 132rwtq on the dyno today. I'm sleeping with a security blanket the size of Missouri right now.

Care to share the dyno sheet? Also, I just looked at your post above that one.....I don't see how you were only running a 13.5 with a 1.88 and trapping 105. You should have been in the 13.0-13.1 area with that 60'.

Sorry for the confusion. I was trapping 103 off the spray. I haven't run on true streets for a long time. When I was trapping 105-106, I was on a small shot, but pulling terrible 60's.

Default Update

Went back to the track with driver mod installed.

pulled 12.1 twice in a row with 1.72-3 60's. Car is still falling all over itself due to running so rich up top. I just ordered my purge, flame retardant jacket, filter, and the next 3 smaller fuel jets so I can tune to around a 12.0-12.3 AFR. I'm wasting a ton of nitrous. My 142 jets are making less poer than the old 100 shot jets.

I would tune for lower than 12.0-12.3.......I'd aim for mid 11's on the giggle gas.

Edit.....what mph?

So it won't go boom......low 12's is WAY to lean for my taste with the giggle gas activated.

Not if you know how to read plugs and adjust the timing correctly.
Timing is the killer when it comes to nitrous.

True, but he is running w/o aftermarket ems....he is probably limited to only going +/- 2 base timing and with that large of the shot you need to compensate with fuel.
