Im not sure if this is in the right section or not. But anyway i went to meet up with a friend to race a guys 2003 mustang GT the mods from what i was told was a Intake, cut off cats, tune, and drag radials. My mods are throttle body spacer, HKS Ti Exhaust , Injen Cold-air intake, and lighter pulley set.

The first race was heads up to jumped me a car out of the hole every time no spining on neither car and he would hold that distance the whole qt mile. Next i asked him to give me the jump and see if i when. During that race i jumped him a car out of the whole and held him the same car length the whole mile.

My question is does those mods plus tires make that car that much faster? I usually pull 2-3 cars on mustang 4.6 gt....

 

Drag radials one of the biggest things drag racing is hooking up

 

Get rid of your throttle spacer and get plenum spacer, plus what frosty said.

Very good pavement: it makes you a few tenths faster.

 

throttle body spacer and lighter pulley set? wats that get you, like 1-5hp?

 

I traded in my 2001 Mustang GT for my 350z. And I can tell you tires and exhaust do wonders for those 4.6's. Are you sure he didnt have gears? I had 4.10's in mine and it made a world of difference.

 

I'm starting to think he had a unknown part cause he would never pop his hood....
