Default Bone Stock 350Z 5AT Quarter Mile Time!

It was a perfect day to race. My 2nd time at LI Motorsprts. I went with my bud Ben and his friend. Ben didnt race(breakin period in his G35 coupe) The other guy had his S2000 stock, his best time was a 14.2 Now my best time was a 14.0@99.3 I also did a 14.1@100.2 I hooked up pretty good on the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. I hit the rev limiter once on those 2 runs. Ive noticed that manual mode is quicker then full auto. Auto shifts on the yellow, manual mode hits the rev limiter. I'm happy with my times. They say this is a slow track. Now if I put a dual exhaust I could run high 13s with no problem!

My Z..

That's awsome time! My best was also 14.0@101mph but my 60ft was 2.4. I have the track model. Hey Alberto, your 60ft time is really good. How did you launch the car?

Drop the tire pressure to 28psi, and try launching at about 2500-3000 rpms, dont drop the clutch slip it....

Welp, that "no spare" disqualifies you as being bone stock! According to the LS1 guys book of drag racing, that my friend, is what's known as a "mod".

Only Sunoco sells 94 but I usually put 93. I think most gas stations carry 93.

take out the stop light fuse or you will lose hp power breaking. Better have some street slicks or something other than stock, because from an idle now I am all over the place with stock tires.
maybe some one on this thread can tell me why i am able to cross the finish line in 3rd gear...most of the time. I had one time that I shifted, but I think I was about ready to hit the limiter and the finish line about the same time, so i shifted.
We have only 91 octane available here in Cali, but I think I will try a can of that octane booster and see what it does after I get some street slicks.

dont use octane booster.....BTW for performance, you want to run the lowest octane possible wthout getting detonation
