hey guys, i am abroad and not in the states...i have an 04.5 5AT touring. mods are jwt pop charger, cobb silicone intake hose, mishimoto silicone hoses, stillen UD pulleys, megan racing headers, motordyne 5/16 plenum spacer...i know the hoses wont give me any power but my question is about drag racing...we dont have any professional drag strips here like you guys have in the states..we race in a deserted airport where there are no people around..so yesteryay i raced an 03 6MT..his only mod was the nismo CAI..and he beat me to 2 car's length...he passed me on late 3rd gear, and kept goin on fourth. is this how it should be or is there anthn wrong with my car? knowing that we had the same wheels 18'' touring V1..i have brembo bbk and 25mm wheel spacers at the rear..or maybe he had a tune? thanks

 

Is his car a 6mt? Your car isn't running as good as it could with those breather mods and no tune.

 

yes his car is 6MT with just a nismo CAI..also i changed my spark plugs a week ago..tomorrow i will install test pipes..i want to get a tune but there are NO tuners in this piece of land hehehe..if i got the hypertech maxtune or unichip would that help?

 

The method isn't nearly as relevant as who tunes it.
