Help with Weld wheels!!
I have never been to a drag strip before (we didn't have one where I live
)
But things about to change, they are building one and it's expected to be finished in a couple of months
So, time to get some wheels and tires. (drag wheels noob
)
The problem is that I have the OEM Brembo's.
While I were searching I found the new Weld Racing RT-S S

Will they clear the rear OEM Brembo's with these options:

This unique wheel offers 3 mounting pad heights to clear specific drum and multi-piston opposed calipers
with the high pad option they will. seems crazy to spend 520$ each per rim and then be stuck with poor tire choice for a 17" rim.
might as well buy a pair of stock 17" rims off a g35 and save 1000$
better yet, run stock tire setup 1st and practice the driver mod. It takes a while for a track to get "seasoned" so even with nice tires, it might not even matter

If you want 17's....there are tons of light, cheap options. Just find some 17x9's and run with it....height of the tire you need will depend on WHP, rev limit, FD gear ratio, etc.
