Went to Track with Last Nigt w/ Test Pipes
I went to the track last night, my only added mod was the LSD Test pipes. I only dropped a .10 off my best time but neither run was great both had a 2.3 and 2.4 60 ft time. But what was impressive was the MPH change. I gained almost 2mph over my previous runs when I only had an intake. My previous best MPH was 99.8. Here are my results from last night.
R/T 1.126
60" 2.321
330 6.181
1/8 9.254
MPH 80.65
1000 11.895
1/4 14.113
MPH 101.74

wow, great run. get that 60ft down to 2.0 - 2.1 (pretty easy to do on stock tires) and you'll be in the high 13's easily. keep practicing, and remember on the Z... no wheel hop = good. Do NOT break traction, slip the clutch with just enough gas to move you forward but at the same time not break the rear loose. The split second you feel the tires grip, mash the gas. you will bog if you don't. But you will have a slightly lower trap time going by this method... faster ET though.

are you running at speedworld? if so pm me next time you go out to the track and i will give you some help launching out there. i'd like to finally see a z run mid 13's without the spray out there, and i think your car could with that mph. once you get the hang of launching it you should be 1.9s-2.0s depending on your tranny (auto/manual)

I've never even seen any other 350's out there racing, so I don't have anything to compare my car to. Some of the guys at the track said the fastest 350 they have seen to date ran a 14.2 and most were mid 14. Everyone said my trap was good.

i drove a touring z that we have at the dealership and i think it should be pretty easy to cut a 2.0 60' in it...with a 60' lik that you should go 13.6-8 with your mph
I live in clermont but give me a shout also. I havent been to the track in a long time but would like to go again. Do any of you know of a place to do some installs? I bought the borla headers and am going to buy UOR pulley.

i posted in the other thread, but if you are a track newbie, dont expect to run very quick. but if you find someone that knows what they are doing to help you out your times will improve much quicker than trying to figure it out on your own
