I trapped 102.25 in 90 degree heat with just an intake and TE37s... 103 isn't out of the question with proper track conditions.
All quarter mile tracks aren't equal, some may be 3-10 feet short, or long. Those 3-10 feet could mean .1 - .3 seconds faster or slower in the quarter mile.

Thanks for the support. I guess some just can't appreciate a car for what it is. Good driver, good weather, and a healthy car, can equal good times. Simple. I can't wait to see dyno numbers of the Z. Maybe we have a freak. Hopefully a 240whp + freak.

"Do a search please. Here at Delmar Int. Raceway, David Timmerman hit a 13.8@103mph in his bone stock '03 track model Z. He's been racing for over 20 years and is a member of this site. Hell, Motor Trend trapped the Z at 102mph. 103 should be no surprise for some."

1.8T how did you get those times? I'm still a beginner, so what RPM did you start off with? TCS/VDC off? powershifting? redline? Just really curious cuz you got some really good times.

Powershifting? Never!
Redline? Hell yeah!
TCS/VDC? I don't have that.
RPM? Depends. At around 3000 RPM -/+. You just have to find the right spot, dump the clutch (not too fast) and cut low 60'.
The track was cool, and not humid, @500ft.
Just practice. Good luck.

man some of these ppl dont know what a good driver behind the wheel of a Z can do or even a average driver. Do they ppl really think our cars arent capable of 13s stock? Tisk tisk.. oooo but ohhh noooo u ask anybody else bout their cars (import n domestic) they shave off atleast a 1 sec or .5 sec from the times off most mags, and claim them as their own!! i tell u man, this gets me pretty sick... but im not gonna bother with proving this and that throw around numbers anymore. I know what my car is capable of and the hell with any smack talkers.
