I bought an '08 auto 350z enthusiast (since i have alot of traffic to and from school).

I was wondering what has a faster 0-60 time, auto or M/T '08 350z (only STOCK no mods)? also quarter miles. Saw this video with two Z's '08 Z's dragging (one is M/T and one is A/T). Surprisingly the Auto won.

How does traffic make a 350z a logical car?

Anyways, the reason the auto won in the video is pretty obvious:

RT from the auto was better
Manual spun tires a lottt
Same power to the wheels for both cars, a computer shifts for one, a human for the other. I wonder which one is going to have the better shifts?

Generally speaking, a MT (with a halfway decent driver) will beat an auto version of the same car.
Nowadays, auto trannys are getting quicker but an 08 Z should be faster with the MT.

Welcome. No need to justify why you drive an automatic transmission. Its a 350Z good enough. Beside the automatic versus manual transmission debate is played out.

Generally members frown on 0-60 MPH times. These are magazine times for "magazine racers." Racers who spend years at the drag strip competing consider these times childish.
