their z traps 3 mph faster than my supra, which has 385hp at the wheels and wieghs about 3600lbs with me in it.. jay

i dont know why you would spend all that money without putting the car on the dyno for a tune. just makes no sense to me. claiming 600hp is a little foolish too, but hes got the timeslip at least.

he's got a 11.30 times slip, i personally know of numerous heads and cam corvettes that make about 400 at the wheels and run similar times to their 350z and probably weigh a little more.. jay

I don't think they were running it at that much all the time. They were doing something that day and ended up putting in 300 shot of NOS and it broke so they found the limit of the engine.

I think the 600HP comes from the car having 287 plus the 300 shot, not so much from an exact measurement.

jay,
i dont think you are going to get too much info out of these guys. Not a lot of drag racers here, at least not many running a lot of power with traction. Hope you get some good info anyway.

as far as the 11sec pass, my post meant he's got a fast pass for a z, thats all

The Z holds up very well on the strip. It's quite sturdy all around.

I know I can't really take my Evo to the strip. The stock clutch won't hold up to more than a handful of good launches.
