There was some video of some guy running NOS that blew a rod out the side of his car about 500 ft down the track, but that is pretty extreme.

ive heard of mustangs breaking axles on drag radials with nothing else done, but then there are tons of stangs on slicks and totally stock rears with just diff ratios with no problems. sometimes you get bad metal its the luck of the draw im sure its similar with the z

Jay, funny, i do not remember you ever asking me any REAL questions, but now that your making comments. We never BROKE anything, the z took all the power we gave it, the piston, and rod was the weak link at about 600 HP.

Man, does that sound antagonistic. Feels like some bad blood here.

600hp? did you put that much down on the dyno? because i never saw a trap speed that led me to believe that your z was anywhere near that

dan , you asked me to stay off your threads so i have... just for the record i asked on numerous occasions if you guy's had broken any drivetrain parts other than blowing the bottoms out of your engines... and i only asked cause every time you post a pic of the shop theres a line of tranny against the wall... again you asked me to leave you alone, so leave me alone.. this is my thread , not one of yours. thankyou jay

p.s. i also asked you if you ever dynoed the car to see if you actually are making the 600hp you claim to make.. if you do in fact have 600 hp then something is wrong, your car should have gone faster then a 11.30... jay

if your car made 600 hp it should theoreticlly(sp?) be a very low ten second car at 3000 pounds..jay

i asked about drivetrain breakage because weve been building race cars(drag cars) for over 15 years and now in the new age we have people asking us about these newer vehicles.. so if their are people snapping axles or blowing up center sections i would like to know because we can get stronger components made if the need be... Also, like stated above i have asked you about parts breakage before, but never get an answer. i just get told to stay off your threads... so now i'm asking others what parts breakage they are expeiriencing.. If there is someone who has broken axles and want s to send us one we can have stronger units made.. like we've been in the process of doing for the independent rear mustang cobra's... jay
