1/4 mile ideas?
best run was first run 13.7 at 104 with a 2.08 60 foot kept it in 13.7s till end of night car got heat soaked ran a 14:/ but overall im pretty happy i really feel car had more in it then i did might go again this week and try was pretty humid so im sure it wasnt in my favor
I had an 04 350z & after many decades tried drag racing again. No mods, PURE STOCK form with major traction problems that needed practice & clutch slipping/riding, I was doing steady 13.8's at 99 miles per hour. Never above 14 second or 99 miles per hour.
105 mph is good for low 13's. Improving traction & shifting practice would/should put you in the mid 13's easily....
High 13's & the rest of the runs in the 14's puts you at an avg. of 14 seconds. Not so good for a moded Z !!!!
Sorry correction , I guess 13.7's is pretty good for the first time.

Gears 3:90 or 4:08's + traction can put you in the low 13's...

yeah this was first time i actually got to run. new york has been a rain central on fridays it seems the reaction time deff killed me i tried slipping clutch and it actually slow to a 2.2 60 foot my fastest launch was basicall a 1500 dump does 104 seem slow as a trap speed? i cant help but feel i need more lol
Here's a good idea. Find a whole rear end pumpkin from a 370 with sport pkg. That has the limited diff + it's 3:69 gears. Should be good/helpful for an N/A & or a small amount of nitro. It's an easy switch that a friendly dealer or just about anybody can do. I like friendly dealers because if a light appears on the dash, THEY will tell you why, like maybe the computer reading the change of tire speed(that's nothing) or something minor.
I've switched 370 with 350 & vise versa. No problem just tell them to ignore the gear spaces.
You're welcome

You need limited slip, gears & M/T or Hoosier drag radials. Then heat them up then dump the clutch at 4,000 to 5,000 rpm. Considering all 104 is not bad at all. With all these ^^^mods you'll do 107+- & low/mid 13's. Reaction time doesn't factor because time starts when you break the starting light. Altitude does matter, so check & factor the altitude of your track.
