Default launching with drag slicks

ok got my 26x10x15 mickey thompson et drag slicks....fit great...actually room for more tire....got them on tsw revos

i tested them around the dealership with 30lbs of air and they still hooked like hell!

my question is how should i launch with them.....

how hard of a launch can the drive train handle?

and what kinda air pressure should i run at the track? im guessing about 14lbs...sound right? these are drag slicks...not drag radials....

what rpm should i launch at?

thanks guys

john

When I ran slicks at the track I did a 5000rpm clutch dump.....just rev it up...dump it and gas it....very easy and it will pull out of the hole smoothly.

I assume you're on a stock clutch. The stock clutch will take the beating...not the trans or the rear end. You'll be fine launching hard all day on the stock clutch.

Start the slicks around 16-17 psi and drop them as needed for traction.
