Default 12.96 @ 104.3 Mason/Dixon dragway

Hey all - I finally got my 12 second time slip. 60ft time was 1.891 my best ever.

Mason/Dixon is a little slow (altitude and crappy surface) so the next time I run will probably be at Cecil County.

I actually went to the track at the last second, even managed to get a speeding ticket on the way from my house switching cars. Usually my friends are ALL over it with the video. Fortunately my one friend got there just before I ran the 12.96.

One thing I learned is that I need a performance plenum. My car ran 13.1 @ 106 on chrome wheels/street tires (with a Kinetix V3 which exploded) This time I was on DR, but stock plenum which has been ported.

Sweet... proves that NA mods do a lot more than what most people think.

Before I even bought the car, I had budgeted and planned on a Greddy TT. Then I was going to do the Stillen (but they didn't have the IC yet).

I decided to do NOS, because it's only there when I want it. A wet 100 shot is pretty harmless to this motor. The A/F stays way in the rich.

I hope to put down a 12.6 before the season is over.

So the 12.96 was with a 100 shot?

If you ran 12.8 with your N/A mods listed, thats awesome, congrats. if you ran that spraying even if its from 2nd gear on, then you need to see whats up with your car cuz your trap is waayyy low....which one is it?

That is ON the bottle. That track is slow. My best trap was 106.6 but at 13.1

Also I need to go with a new plenum, as the car performed better before my Kinetix blew apart.

I had a V3, put about 200 test miles on it. The very first time I sprayed at the track - it blew a golf-ball sized hole near the letter X in the top.

The owner of Kinetix was very cool and allowed me to return it.

I think it's a great product, just not for F/I or NOS IMO.

I DEFINETLY saw gains with that piece.

Yes they are Nitto 555R's. I ordered BF's but discount tire was sold out, so I went with the Nitto's.

My et's are defenitely better with some tire spin. I ran them at 18, then at 16. Just can't burn out enough to get them hot IMO. I slip the clutch, end up with some wheel hop.

Are you pulling your "BRAKE LIGHT" fuse to do your burnouts??

No, I thought that was only for automatics. Are you suggesting a power brake?

exactly..but if you keep the brake light fuse in it wont allow you to do a powerbrake in the Z...It has to do with the VDC and ABS crap, when it senses brake AND gas at the same time it cuts the fuel cause it thinks the vehicke is out of control....
Pull the brake light fuse in the kick panel at the track, remember to put it in before you go home or you will have no brake lights..This will allow you to do a power brake stand as long as you want..I prefer going throught the water box with DR's and doing a burnout from 2nd gear (im SC'd youmight not be able to keep them spinning off the juice) till I get the white smoke then staging immidiately..makes the world of difference..

OK I will definitely try that. I just get a side-ways burnout now. Not good enough IMO. I don't flip the switch for the juice until after the burnout
