What is the cause of wheel hop on the Z and can better tires correct this problem?????? what would break or be damaged from wheel hop???
Wheel hop can be caused by several different things, but adding traction is directionally correct. The source of the problem, however, is usually the shocks, and specifically that the rebound is too soft. As the car moves forward, torque is created as the tires create traction to start this movement. Excessive separation (axle centerline to body) can lead to wheel hop. Stiffening the rebound can control wheel hop if excessive separation has occurred.
As far as parts breakage: the short answer is YES. It can (and will) break axles, shocks, motor mounts, etc.

Ask Bluefish with the NHRA drag 350Z how our parts are working on their car.
They recently installed our rear arms and rear spherical bearing kit.
The key is to take the suspension bind out and allow for better/ smoother movement.

Try our trailing arms and rear spherical bearings. They will let the rear hook up a lot more.
