Default Best ET: 13.794 / Best MPH 102.82 this weekend...

I had a GREAT day at the track on Sunday. It was my first time at Englishtown Racway in Engishtown New Jersey. I was there for the NHRA Sport Compact Fall Nationals. It was a great time! Now down to the nitty gritty.

Track conditions were great, and the weather was awesome.
Temp: 67
Humidity: 68
Barometer: 29.43

Now that track conditions are out of the way, the next question is what mod's do I have. All that I have done to the car is a K&N drop in filter in the stock intake, and RSR catback exhaust. And that's it!

Other important details. I ran the car without the spare and floor mats. I dropped tire pressure in my rear tires to 25psi. And I mixed in 2 gallons of 112 octane gas with the remaining 1/4 tank of 93 that was in the car when I arrived.

I went hoping to break into the 13's, knowing that would be an awesome run for the Z, and little did I know I would become a member of the 13.7's club.

My first run of the day was a 13.87 @ 102.82. I was pshyced! Really fast trap speed and I was in the 13's

On my second run I didn't change anything, but had a great launch. I ran a 13.794 @ 102.19 with a 2.164 60 ft time.

I had tons of people coming to check out the car to see what I mods I had done. I met a couple of very cool 350z owners. No one there could believe that I was hit 13.7's with just an exhaust. They were all very impressed, and they all loved the car. Many of them said that they usually see Z's running 14.2's to 14.4's at the track pretty consistently and haven't really seen a Z break into the 13's.

I will post the slips on my lunch break this afternoon for proof.

Thanks guys! I was really pleased with my traps...just about flirted with 103 with and exhaust and air filter. Here are the slips.
The proof is in the pudding I guess.

I am car #229

Nice times. With a 2.0 60ft you should be running mid 13s. Anyway what were your stock times?

Thanks, but unfortunately I never ran the car when it was stock so I can't say.

But you said what I was thinking. If I can finally cut a 2.0 60 ft. time I am really curious to see what kinds of times I run. I was think somewhere in mid 13's also. hehe...makes me grin!

I am going to try and get to New England Dragway in Epping, NH on Friday night. I am going to be in NH for a wedding on Saturday and am going to try and sneak away from the girls on Friday night and see what I can do with some more runs.

Thanks!

There's a 13.7s club??? Nice run, you must be a good driver. Did you power shift? (never let go of the gas)?

Thanks gain, no power shifting - clutch, gas...clutch, gas....

I was able to get to New England Dragway on Friday (10/8)...really trying to run a 13.6. The cars got it in her, I just get to get off the line better.

This time I ran staright 93 otctane pump gas, no race gas.

I set another personal best for for Trap Speed see new thread.
