great action shots!
I'm not sure where you guys are from but there's going to be a sort of DRIFTING EXPEDITION in So. California this weekend (05-24-03). I'm not sure what the event is officially called but there will be Z's there among other cars. There will be professional displays of skill (possibly including guys from Japan) along with a bunch of 'amateur nights' spinning out all over the place!
Irwindale (Irwingdale...? nah...) Speedway, should be AWESOME

Man that looks like fun! I used to go "play" like that in empty parking lots after it rained in my Camaro--less hurt to the tires. lol Haven't had a chance yet in my Z, but maybe in the next couple of days I can find an empty lot one night after it's rained.

I had an opportunity to do this a few weeks ago after a nice rain came through late one night. The car just feels so balanced when you put it into a spin. I can't really put it into words, but it's something you have to try at least once. My only regret is that I didn't have my camera with me at the time.

Now all that's running through my head is, "Gotta play. Gotta play. Gotta play."

it was a gravel parking lot, not much wear on the tires, but a pain in the but to control ... it was hard to tell when the car's rear end was breaking loose. it got the car nice and dirty, too
