I probably won't tape it, because i am stubborn like that. Hey, how supra crazy are you? Do you own a supra? CAUSE THAT WOULD BE AWESOME IF YOU DID, BECAUSE SUPRAS ARE THE FASTEST CARS IN THE WORLD, did you see F&F? yeah, it beat everything except that 1000000 rwhp charger.
Yo,
Anyone ever heard of the Japanese Anime Initial D? If you like drifting, this is the anime to rent.
Basically the story revolves around a kid named Takumi who drives an old AE 86. His family runs a Tofu shop and every day he has to make this drive up these mountains to deliver tofu. Tofu is very delicate so he has to be a super smooth driver.
Because of this he unwittingly becomes one of the best drift drivers, even though his car looks like a beater. Kids from other towns hear about him and start challenging him to races and he keeps winning even though they have superior cars in terms of HP, handling, etc.
The cars you'll see are Skyline GTRs, 2nd/3rd gen RX7s, Silvas, Civic SI among others. All heavily modified.
The reason for the massive popularity of the anime was because the driving techniques and the racing strategies were very very accurate.
I think the most important message the anime sends is this: No matter what your car, displacement, or skid pad, driving is THE most important element.
How many of us actually drive our cars within the top 10% of its ability. Precious few. Most guys that own new 911s don't know **** about driving because they're wearing Depends undergarments and drinking Geritol while driving with their left turn signal on going 45 MPH in the #1 FAST LANE. Honestly, if you have a 911 and its never been over 110, never pulled .85 G, then you should be sodomized with a soldering pen.
While our 350z might not have the horsepower of an E46 M3, or a 911, truth is that I can drive circles around most these fools. Why?
Because I know how to drive.

I was at the shop getting wheels mounted just yesterday. A great guy I talked with for a bit there had a Skyline (steering wheel on the right side and everything), and we talked about drifting some. Made my eyes kinda light up, but I'd be damn scared to try it myself without serious instruction beforehand.
This SoCal meet/exhibition: any more info about that xtreme???
