Default Me drifting at WSIR yesterday for Touke Drift

i hate the lighting at balcony, it always sucks, esp late in the day

more here, soon there will be a vid i believe

Some pics larry took of my car - driftfotos.com
I still need suspension, these Tein springs are too soft
Was running about 60mph entry
Got top prize from the drift off, free alignments for life, yay!
I need a tire sponsor or something, I went thru 2 used pairs and a brand new pair of Federals in 1/2 a day
I also really need a functional ebrake, wheres the best place to adjust these on the Z? If i pull it as hard as I can, it will barely lock. I would manji the exit to the back semi circle and where i needed it, i couldnt get the tires to lock
Also need more steering angle, i keep locking

Zs are soooo fun to slide!! you need an inline hydraulic ebrake, the ebrakes on the Z suck..

this is a dope picture... keep it up. we can ship you a set of BC Racing 32 way adjustable coilovers that we run on our cars for around 1000 dollars shipped. that will be all you need

10mm deep well and you can adjust it yourself . Just pull the coin holder/ash tray out . BTW the pics look good.

some previous cars were better adjusted on the actual caliper/hub, some were on the actual handle. I will yank out the center console and tighten down the cable before the next event.

i dont like how hydro ebrakes feel, they suck down the brake pedal and makes the braking feel all gross, i know chris doesnt run a hydro ebrake on his vert

Your doing pretty damn good with what you got...I am still learning to put it sideways. Yeah the E-brake doesn't lock the rears like they should.

Hey Mark,

this is Ben, guy with the silver 350. You did really well! Glad you got the free alignments for life, you definetly gave them a good show.

Also about steering angle, I put on tein inner tie rods with spacers and didn't get that much more steering angle. You can modify the steering bump stops BUT unfortunately 06 and later 350z's have some sort of build in stopper in the steering rack that prevents more extension. I've been opting to swap my rack for an 05 and before to get more steering angle

-Ben

The tein outters are identical to OEM ones other than color. You have free alignments for life, so you could just get a steering rack from Nissan or from someone parting out their car, then swap!

On a sidenote, I'm really suprised with 350z stock suspension. I used to drive a 240sx with full coilovers and thought drifting a z would rock like a van, but it's pretty impressive.

yea the tein springs arent much stiffer then stock, i can still feel the *** of the car lift up on transitions.

i dont know if im going to go swapping out my rack, i dont drift it THAT much, did you pick up any more noticeable angle on your car though?

I didn't swap the rack, but I had planned to do it once I found a rack in good condition. I'm happy with the little extra angle I got from the Tein inners + spacers, but it would be nice to have more. I don't know if it's worth the trouble.
