Yea me too. It was the background on my phone for a long time.
Insurance? You guys insure your vehicles? No but seriously, its not even worth the claim for a broken knuckle and bent camber arm.
And yes, I was pushing it a bit hard because the car was underpowered for 3rd gear at that track so I was trying to avoid downshifting into 2nd and then upshifting back to 3rd all in 1 corner by going a bit faster after already running so close to the wall. All well...

Nice shots guys - my friends have been egging me on to drift mine but Im skeptical because they have tractor tires all around the inner circle at my local track so hitting one of those would not be cool, lol.

If you want to really drive your car, no matter if your going to grip or drift learning the car in safe, open area's is the best way. You can get a feel for the characteristics of the car, tendencies of your driving style/technique, and the car's response to your inputs without worry of crashing. Not to mention with obstacles sometimes when people do hit something or bash up the car some, especially with beginners, they tend to get scared and end up holding back so they don't bash it up more. Thats why at every new venue or after any modification with the car, I always take it easy and "warm up" to the course instead of trying to impress everyone by tearing it up on my first run.
Find track days in parking lots or airports that have cone layouts. You can run over cones all day and suffer almost zero damage (there can always be that stubborn bastard that just won't die until taking something else with it).
And I don't have any new photo of me drifting, but I do have a photo of my car on a flatbed due to a crash during drifting...
Thats after I replaced the front knuckle and rear camber arms. Toe is way out of adjustment so I've ordered some radius and "rear lower" arms to fix it.
