So 8.5 wide would be the general size for my rear? IMO, 9 wide would be a wise choice for long run because i can prolly put 235/50, 245, 255 and still have less wall flex. Since i'm running 45 profile for front, i have to run 50 profile rear.
8.5 is ok in the REAR but 9 or 9.5 is probably better for you. I know JasonZ-Ya loves running his 17x9.0 when he drifts so I bet he has good reason. 8.5 or 9 should be good for you up FRONT.

Now we are settled with 9 wide rims Now with tires, How's 235/50/17 in the rear with 225/45/18 in the front? When i need to change my front tires, i'll get 235 but they still have plenty left.

I'll pick up the 225/45/18 from you, and you go buy some 235 =)

I need 45 because the rear would be 50/17. It wouldn't matter that much for now using 225 front because i'm a beginner

There are other ways to combat understeer.

I use 18x9 with 235/40 on the front. Sway bars and 0* toe. No understeer here.

I also use 235/40 in the rear on 9.5 and 10's. I could use a slightly larger tire for more grip now, but I used the same setup when I was N/A and it worked out well for me.
