XXR's are GREAT. Bought 6 521's in 18x10 for around $800. And as far as parts to make a Z drift, coils and doing something to your diff is pretty much all you need. If you have an open diff either weld it or spend some cash to grab a 2-way diff. I just welded mine because I was on a bit of a budget crunch, car still is magical out on drift days.

I am currently running XXR 521's 18x10 +25 all around, you would need a healthy spacer to make them poke in the back. the lip is alright, nothing really special

Bringing this thread back from the dead, OBVIOUSLY sliding into **** ruins wheels but how do these "cheap" wheels hold up to actual drifting with all the lateral g's and constant forces being acted on them. Trying to get a cheap set specifically for drifting so I can beat them up and not worry. Has anyone ever had a wheel break, crack or have any sort of serious failure drifting? Running bbs lm's right now and I'd hate to ruin them with that one accident. Stock wheels aren't wide enough or have enough offset for my tastes. Any thoughts on getting a set of xxrs for dedicated sliding

I use 07 Mustang GT wheels. They look terrible on the car because it has really bad offset, but they work.

Just go stock wheels, cheapest to buy on craigslist anyways, specially if you
Are just being introduced to the sport, trust me you will cry when you spend
Hard cash on some sick wheels, and you hit a wall and crack or bend a wheel. people go 18s for style reasons anyways,. I run from rpf1s oem's xxr 526 xxr521s

stock the ufck outta them wheels homie. don't spend real coin on "drift" wheels. I go with 18's cuz they're cheap. I'd go with 17's but brembos won't allow it. craiglist ya life up.

17's will fit over Brembo's and even larger BBK's. Just depends on the spoke design

If you know of some cheap 17's that will fit over our Brembos, please enlighten me. Only thing I've seen work is my spare.

MB battle and weapons both fit. I wouldn't doubt if a bunch of the XXR 's will also fit. 5ziggen FN01c also fits

That is a great looking wheel for a great looking price... Shame it seems to be so hard to find.

Terra, are you SURE I can get the battles in 17 and still fit over the brembos. I've passed up on so many Battles because I assumed they wouldn't fit.
