Default alignment thread

Can you guys post up your alignment spec, tire spec and which suspension you have? for DD and drift?

I need an alignment done for daily drive + drift. Last time i did, it was
-2.6 camber front with 0 toe.
-1.3 camber rear with 0 toe.
I am not so sure about 0 toes..

Averaged for left and right.

Front: -3.4 camber (uncorrected)
10 caster (uncorrected)
.04 toe

Rear: -3.5 camber (maxed out on aftermarket camber arms)
.10 toe

All of this is probably different now since I've been playing with my ride height a lot lately, need a new alignment pretty badly. Want to start experimenting with different toe settings to see if it will even make a difference for my driving.

The more toe you have in the rear adds stability, OEM specs are -0.05 to -0.12 rear toe, for drifting an NA car i would stay close to -0.05 rear toe.

Serious drifting
Front -2.5 to -3.2 camber (needs to be set to your tires, swaybar and springs )
Front toe 0 to +0.05
Rear Camber -0.5 to -1.0 (leave the mad camber for the HellaGay Stanced crowd)
Rear toe as mentioned above

Daily driven drifter (put a lot of miles on the car)
Front Camber -1.5 to -2.0
OEM front toe
Rear Camber -1.0 to -1.5 but can use less depending on your local driving needs
Rear toe as mentioned above.

You mean the OEM specs are .05 to .10, not negative. Negative would be toe out from searching.

I am posting up my alignment for a G35 sedan lowered on 350z front springs and G35 coupe rear springs. I had them zero out the toe and that help the car track straight. I have wheel position centered and cross caster in spec. I am posting a TSB for 350z 2003 that recommends toe at .20

http://www.myzroadster.com/Files/tsb.../NTB04-043.pdf

Edit:

1. Make sure the pressure in all four tires is 35 P.S.I. cold.

Total Toe-in
Minimum 0 mm ( 0 in. ) [ 0º ]
Nominal 1 mm ( 0.04 in. ) [ 0.1º ]
Maximum (preferred setting*) 2 mm (0.08 in.) [ 0.2º ]

* The preferred setting is 2 mm (0.08 in.) [ 0.2º ] with no "variation" (zero [0] plus o
minus). Once the final adjustment is done, it is very important that there is no "to
out".

Because of my ride height my camber was originally at -6.8 to -7, the camber I posted is after being corrected as much as possible. I'd like to get closer to -.5 to -1.5.

I'm running
-3.8 front camber
0 front toe
Around 9.5 caster

-1.7 rear camber trying to get around 0.5 but rear arms are maxed right now.
0 rear toe

Running stance true type coils
Battle version rear camber and toe arms
Ichiba A arms
Tein inner tie rods with spacers and shaved steering stops
Hotchkis sways, endlinks set in the middle front and rear.
18x9.5 all around with 235 40 front 245 40 rear, might switch rear to 10.5 with 265 35.

Car feels great daily driving around and drifting, has sharp turn in and good amount of front and rear grip, very stable while drifting. Good luck on alignment, I actully need to redo mine its pulling hard to the right now after a few events, waiting on the max super angle kit so i can raise the front a little and get more camber by adjusting lca hope the produce it soon for the masses.

Maxed out? Are you running lockouts or OEM ecentric bolts with those arms?

Im using the oem bolts, the actual arm has no more adjustment though for more positive camber.

So how are the ecentrics adjusted, most alignment techs are clueless. They should be full in. I would actually contact someone who makes lockouts and ask them to make a 1 off set that lock the adjustment out fully inboard.

Or you can lift the car a bit and improve its handling with the benifit of making it better for drifting.

last time i got the alignment done, my rear right camber arm was maxed out too. I could only get -1.5~6. For the rear left, i was able to get -1.3
Since i have stance true type coilover, i have toe delete arms.

Front
Camber -2.5- fixing to go for -3 or -3.
Rear
Camber -+0 camber. Going to make it +.5 next year drift season. At 0 camber my rear tires last me for plentu of time unless i do tandems running 3-4 non-stop laps.
