Default Drift suspension

hey guys, i have an 06 g35 coupe and i hit the track once or twice a month to practice drifting. ive already changed my diff and made a couple of weight reduction mods. now i think its time to upgrade the suspension. ive asked friends, some told me bilstein b6 or b8 is good also tein etc. budget is around 800-1200$ no need for an adjustable one also (as they cost a too much). thanks everyone

^ both of them are right, save your money and get more seat time, this would be the smart choice. (I'm just going to assume you also daily this car) Once your comfortable driving the car the way it is, save up and buy and good set of coilovers. IF it is your daily then adjustability will be what you want, adjust them aggressively for track days and then adjust them comfortably for normal driving.

Talking about seat time, a proper seat will help more than springs or coilovers. Front UCA will help a lot for added camber

Your budget should get you some pretty decent used coilovers.

Although I do agree that a seat/proper harness and steering wheel would be a better choice.

But at the same time, if you just want the car to look cooler and perform a little better, wheels and coilovers would do that.

Seat time. I drift my G35. I did it with stock suspension and then I got coilovers. But my coilovers are sh1tty...well...not sh1tty for what I wanted them for. They're great for what I wanted them for. Sh1tty for drifting kinda sorta tho. I wanted to slam my car, and scrape on stuff, and be a scene kid. I haven't had issue 1 yet (working on 3or 4 years), but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone who has performance in mind. Your biggest obstacle right now is the heft. If cut that down, snag a good seat, and grab a few sets of tires, you'll be able to slide well for a while before you need an upgrade.
