Pre-registration closes on September 15th. On-site registration is available, but there is a hefty late registration fee tacked on, so sign up online or contact me personally if you don't have a credit card or way to sign up online (or if you know of someone without a computer). email address: phoenixR34@hotmail.com

General rules:

-Need a Snell 95 or newer helmet. Motorcycle helmets are ok.

-Car must be in good running order. No leaks, good tread left on tires (although relaxed since it's a drift group), seat belts must be in working order, seat bolted down, no large cracks on windshield. There will be a tech inspection before the event, post here with questions and we should be able to answer them.

-Must keep good spacing between cars, at least four car lengths. Should not be a problem since there is a 5/8 mile front straight to slow down and get good spacing.

-Currently there is only passing on the straight. I am thinking about allowing passing in the infield, on the straight after 6 (until before the chicane) and between turns 7-9 *only if* the slower car waives the faster car by.

-No tandem or side by side drifting with two cars, I don't care how experienced you are!

-Turns 4, 10 and 12 are off limits for drifting, as they're next to concrete walls.

-You may drift anywhere else on course provided you aren't out of control and putting yourself and others in danger. The purpose of this event is to practice and improve, while being safe and helping keep NASA's spotless safety record just that, spotless.

------------------------------------------------------------

I'm telling you from personal experience that Firebird's roadcourse is awesome for drifting. In addition to the HUGE turn 1 sweeper, which has no walls, the infield after turn #4 till turn #10 is paved entirely. If you spin off track, it's like sliding in a parking lot! If you can't drive, come out and watch!
