Just wondering, but is it necessary to have an LSD in order to be able to drift? I have a base model which doesn't have one, so I was wondering if it was even possible to try drifting without one.
Thanks in advance.

LSD is not mandatory, but does make it easier and a lot more fun!
If you are serious about track/drift then you should consider making it one of your first upgrades.
You may also be able to find a used OEM VLSD in the classifieds for cheap... though I would hold off and do a clutch type if you can.

I have a base also, you have to have a lsd to drift. If you dont have a lsd you can only do simple stuff. If you got the cash go with the nimso lsd, the stock is just not worth getting.
learn to drift without lsd at first, then when youre comfortable with the car and know how it reacts, upgrade to lsd.... the car will be more predictable and easier to drift, but will require you to become a more skilled driver to further hone your skills and the more you want to drift, the more you will want/NEED an lsd
