I thought all of the ring/pinion sets were interchangeable and would go into any G/Z pumpkin but I could be wrong..

Yes the differential is a direct drop in. But op needs to count the teeth on the ring gear to confirm it is infact a 3.7

I just talked to my mechanic and he confirmed that the rear differential is a 2007 350z manual. This will work in autos and manual, the teeth will just be a little off. He said the gear set up is 3.54. The reason my 4.08 ring and pinion didnt work was because I needed the whole case, not just the ring and pinion. Still for sale!

well I spoke to a few other local members and for my 04 g35 coupe 5AT I would be better with a 3.5 VSLD than a 3.7 due to gas mileage......if anyone has a 3.5 VSLD up let me know!

Okay thanks. I think price is alittle high only being a 3.5 unless op wants to come down some....I can see a 3.7 being that price.

All you need is the ring and pinion. The 4.08 that works on Z's/G's works on the 3.5, the 3.7, and as far as I know the 3.3. All the pumpkins are the same, the only differences INSIDE the pumpkins is that they are either open diff or VLSD (interchangable), the final drive gear set (interchangable), the autos have a different bolt pattern where the driveshaft bolts to the differential than the MT's do (interchangable), and lastly if it is a VLSD equipped pumpkin, one of it's output shafts is a different size than the open diff units (also interchangable).

I would suggest findind a new mechanic.. unless I'm missing something here..

The 3.3 is a larger bolt pattern and nothing else will bolt up. But your are right, the 3.5, 3.7, 3.9, and 4.083 all fit the same vlsd or open dif.

Nope, I didn't. I just saw that the OP had not followed the TOU and posted a verification slip in the pic with the appropriate information. If you have an issue with my post or with the TOU, feel free to bring it up with another admin for further clarification.

Since we are now aware that this item has sold, I am closing the for sale thread.
