Default NISMO GT Pro LSD

SOLDDD

Used NISMO aftermarket differential. This is the GT Pro LSD that can be switched from 1.5 way to 2.0 way. Was used about 5000 miles before being pulled (car it was in was sold). I had it looked at just to verify and was told it is in good working condition. Only comes with diff and bolts (no carrier/housing, no stub axles, etc.).

Based on research, this will not work with an automatic transmission diff housing or the stock automatic 3.3 gears. You will need a manual transmission diff housing and you will need equal length shafts (from a non-VLSD differential).

Part number is 38420-RSZ15-4U. Link to info http://www.nismo.co.jp/en/products/c...gt_lsdpro.html

Have to admit, not sure. Know it will work with a manual trans.

Depends on what pumpkin it is made for.

If it's from an auto 3.3 pumpkin then it will only work with the 3.3 gears. If it was made for the manual tranny 3.5 pumpkin then it will only work with 3.5 (and other ratios that can be ran with the manual tranny differentials) gears. See the pic I put up in this thread to see why:

Thanks for the info. Based on everything I read about this diff, made for a manual trans only and came out of a manual trans car.

So I'm guessing it will only work for 3.5 and higher gears. Dam I really wanted this. I have new bearings already too

I know it will only work in a manual differential pumpkin. If you have an automatic with an automatic differential pumpkin, will not work.

If you want to use 3.3 gears in a manual differential pumpkin (manual car), then not sure if there is an aftermarket 3.3 gear set that will work with that setup but might want to research. Stock 3.3 gear from automatic will not work (see link provided by ted j in his post)

More info added. This is a great differential which is hard to find. Z1 is selling this diff for over $2000 (with install kit) so believe my price is pretty fair.

What would I need to install this in a non-vlsd (base model) 350z 6mt

I believe it will install in the base model non-vlsd case with nothing extra, however, I have never done it so you would probably want to check/do some research.

Here is a link to the install https://my350z.com/forum/engine-driv...tall-pics.html

Yes, it will fit in the differential housing but you would need to get the equal length stub axles from an non-VLSD diff.

Do you still have this? If so I'll take it. I'm kinda stuck, I bought a Quaife which doesn't fit and the distributor/seller won't give me an exchange or refund. So I'm stuck with a $1k paperweight.

(Edit since some people responded about the Quaife)
I got the correct part, so as not to thread jack I'll post my issue in the drivetrain forum.
