Quaiffe ATB Helical Differential
Viscous and Non Viscous

http://sohomotorsports.rpmware.com/q...l/g-55998.aspx

The Quaife Differential powers both drive wheels under nearly all conditions, instead of just one. With an ordinary open differential, standard on most cars, a lot of precious power is wasted during wheelspin under acceleration. This happens because the open differential shifts power to the wheel with less grip (along the path of least resistance). The Quaife, however, does just the opposite. It senses which wheel has the better grip, and biases the power to that wheel. It does this smoothly and constantly, and without ever completely removing power from the other wheel.
In drag-race style, straight-line acceleration runs, this results in a close to ideal 50/50 power split to both drive wheels, resulting in essentially twice the grip of an ordinary differential (they don’t call open diffs “peglegs” for nothing).
In cornering, while accelerating out of a turn, the Quaife biases power to the outside wheel, reducing inside-wheel spin. This allows the driver to begin accelerating earlier, exiting the corner at a higher speed.
The Quaife also controls loss of traction when the front wheels are on slippery surfaces such as ice and snow or mud, providing the appropriate biased traction needed to overcome these adverse conditions. The Quaife Differential provides constant and infinitely variable drive. Power is transferred automatically without the use of normal friction pads or plates seen in other limited-slip designs.
The Quaife’s unique design offers maximum traction, improves handling and steering, and puts the power where it is needed most. A definite advantage whether on the track or on the street.
The Quaife is extremely strong and durable and since the Quaife is gear operated, it has no plates or clutches that can wear out and need costly replacement.
The Quaife is great for street driving or racing. Racers don’t have to put up with locking mechanisms or spools that created unwanted understeer under power, or in the case of front-drive cars, even tear the steering wheel out of their hands when cornering. Because it behaves like an open differential during ordinary driving, street drivers will have trouble telling it’s there until pushing the car’s limits.
The Quaife has been proven in everything from SCCA Rally to Formula 1. It provides autocrossers with such an advantage, it has become “required” equipment for a winning effort.
More and more auto manufacturers are specifying the Quaife ATB Differential as original equipment in their high performance models – for good reason – it works!

Cusco LSD
Type RS and Type MZ

http://sohomotorsports.rpmware.com/c.../i-307504.aspx

Cusco Type MZ:
The Type MZ LSD had been greatly improved using most parts that comprise the Type RS. Its has evolved as well through countless R+D tires, tests and races to create the most balanced LSD for your specific use.

The Oil Through System uses the same forged parts used in the Type RS. The Type MZ differs in the way the initial torque is developed.

The clutch plates have been increased from eight to ten plates one each side increasing the LSD performance. It responds more to the high power with higher durability.

There are three ways to set your Cusco Limited Slip Differentials: 1 way, 1.5 way and 2 way.

1 way LSD: Specially suited for front wheel drive cars and AWD front axle cars. Activates under acceleration, and acts as a true LSD when the throttle is off. This CUSCO 1 way LSD will improve lap times without a doubt.
1.5 way LSD: Activates under acceleration while the under-steer under deceleration is less than on a 2 way LSD. Recommended for those who have a hard time with under-steer.
Two way LSD: Recommended on rear wheel drive cars and AWD rear axle cars. Activates on both acceleration and deceleration. Recommended for those who prefer aggressive driving and big angle drifting.

Cusco Type RS:
The Cusco Type RS LSD had proved to be capable of competition use in the All Japan Gymkhana Championship without overhauling a single time during the season. With all drivers and teams finishing with good or championship results at the end of the season.

According to Cusco’s in house research, initial torque is 50 to 70% lower compared to the conventional cone plate type LSD enabling lower drive friction and better response.

Low power loss means better lap times for even the mild tuned of cars
Chattering is kept low
Improved durability as clutch plates are low pressured
The LSD efficiency is higher with smoother oil flow between plates.
Special precision springs, set in the pressure plate, assure steady coil movement
Clutch plates do not stick together like conventional cone plate type LSDs. Therefore less clutch plate wear or deterioration occurs.

Tomei Differential
T-Trax Advanced LSD
http://sohomotorsports.rpmware.com/t...d/g-58818.aspx

The T-TRAX ADVANCE “is the most effective LSD unit available” & has the best overall advantage in comparison with the other aftermarket products available today. Amazing penetrating angles at the time of Drift, with such persistence in the accuracy of line taking and all aspects of cornering, the T-TRAX ADVANCE shows amazing efficiency with the aggressive cam angles which is optimum for drifting the friction clutch discs also has a larger surface area, furthermore with the use of the coil spring discs and the high setting of initial torque which is raised higher than any other brands in the market today.
