I love mine - one of the first mods I ever did on my '08 ~ 4 years ago, and still no issues with it.

It as 4 adjustments; 40% shorter, the same as stock, 20% longer, and 40% longer. It adjusts without tools and you can do it with the shift boot/console in place. Really pretty cool.

I posted to that thread, too. When adjusted to the -40% setting, it is a "short" shifter - period. The pivot point is unchanged, the bottom end of the lever is unchanged, but the top end of the lever is shorter. If you shorten only one end of the lever, the geometry of the system is changed - period.

Same amount of work is being done at the bottom end, but more force is required because the distance is shorter on the top end. This is the most basic, simple 8th grade physics math problem I can imagine.

Work = Force x Distance

Or, Force = Work/Distance

Or, Distance = Work/Force

How much simpler could this be to understand???

Thank you dcains. It is short shifter and feels like one. The reason I am selling is because I have CD01 trany on my car, and it grinds on third gear so this shifter makes it even harder to drive. Yes I can adjust it to the same height as my OEM but then what's a point to have it? So i put my OEM one back. But for the people with newer trany shouldn't be a problem. My lost your gain.
