ZCCA Convention in Syracuse this Aug
Every year, a location in the States is selected for a huge Z convention. This year, it's in Syracuse - only ~ 3 hrs away! There's lots of stuff planned during the week (car shows, dyno days, poker run on the NY back roads).
Personally I'm interested in doing Thursday's winery/finger lake tour to Watkins Glen and a couple paced laps around Watkins Glen AND a couple laps of the old GP road course through the town.
Friday has a an autocross competition which naturally I'll have to do as well.
Anyone else interested in taking a couple days off to join the festivities? I'm thinking that the spouses/GFs might even be interested in going for a mini vacation as well.

There is a very loyal group of Z owners that make a Mecca to the ZCCA International Convention every year.
In 2003 it was in New Hampshire. This group caravan started with the Houston cars and the Dallas cars hooking up then driving to Little Rock, AR and hooking up with that group. On to Nashville to pick up some more Z's and where (none other than) Crawford Z Service hosted a BBQ and Drag Race through their complex . Spent the night in Nashville and then on to Cleveland where the the Z Club of Cleveland hosted a dinner for all.
We meet people there from Ohio, Indiana and Minnesota that joined the group.
Spent the night in Cleveland and then to on Albany, NY for a fantastic lunch served by the Z Club of Albany and then on to Nashua, NH for the convention.
We arrived with like 30 Z's from all over the US.
Great Times! Great Friends!

Cool! I know TIZCC (Thousand Island Zed Car Club) is also talking about a trip.
I'm almost 100% certain I'll be heading over the Thursday (warm lapping at Watkins) and Friday (AutoX).
FYI, the Saturday and Sunday will be Solo1 at the new Calabogie track.
