Brake Shop Recommendation for New Brembo Rotors (Pics !)
I recently picked up a full set of 4 brand new Brembo Sport Cross Drilled rotors that directly replaces the OEM Brembo solid rotors for a great price. Now I need a shop that can help me put them on.
Here are some pictures to get a little more attention.
And these Brembos with holes will be going onto this.
I was told from the seller that it should not take more than 45 minutes to replace all 4. So I gave the stealership (Alta Nissan Richmond Hill to be specific), the service advisor said it will take 4 HOURS to replace all 4 rotors at $99/hour of labour. OUCH !
Can someone recommend some shops that has worked on the the 350Z Brembo brakes and knows what they are doing. Then in the future, I can bring my Z there again for other services. I have read about Simon Performance in Newmarket, any other shop recommendations are appreciated.
By the way, how much should I pay someone to replace all 4 rotors?
Thanks.

I'm just gonna recommend Simone Performance
Oh yeah, Alta Richmond Hill a real ****-off. I waited 2 months for my transmission, they had it before they even realized that it arrived... Now gotta wait another 3 month to install -_-... sorry to jack thread, just wanted to hate on Alta Richmond Hill, lol.

I've got my pads and springs installed at Speedstar at 14th & birchmount. Total came out to $150 and a few hours. Guys there seem pretty nice, and they deal with alot of done up s2k's. I'm going to later order my kit from these guys i'm pretty sure. They're more of a JDM ***** than I am!

edit: Are you sure those rotors are right for you? I've read somewhere around here that the 06 Brembo rotor size was increased compared to the 03-05 models. I know this is at least true for the non-brembo brakes' rotor. I didn't know that Brembo already made the new bigger size for the Z already.

Speedstars is a reputable shop. But they deal with mostly Hondas, Acuras, and Subarus. They dont really work on G35/350Z's. I think doing brakes there will be fine. But I suggest not to go there for engine work or other work that requires a knowledgable Nissan Tech. Vic Simone is a Master Nissan tech.

The Brembo rotor size remained the same on the 06 models.
Only the Non Brembo rotors size were increased on the 06 models.
Going back, anybody know how much I should pay to get these rotors installed? I am guessing it should not be more than $100.

They quoted $220 plus tax to replace all 4 rotors, that's only for labour and brake cleaner.
It's still more than what I expect to pay, but at least it's half of what the Alta Nissan wants from me.
Any more recommended shops I can get some more quotes? Prefer ones that have worked on Z's before.

I have been searching these Brembo Sport rotors for a while, but they were expensive even to buy online. Then I found a good deal locally and couldn't resist.
Since I will need to replace my stock solid rotors 4 years or 100,000 km down the road, so I will use these Brembo Cross drilled rotors now and put the stock ones back on when they need to be replaced.
I will post some more pictures when I get them installed.

I should be able to help u change the rotors, It was pretty easy job and I did it myself for my car (non-brembo). We can either do it @ my underground or @ ur place. Hows $80 sound?
If you really need a shop to replace those rotors, try speedstar, talk to albert, say goo referred you and he should be able to help you with a discount. I do all my oil change there.
Did u end up paint and install ur kit @ velocity?? or somewhere esle??

Thanks for the offer Goo, I just found a shop and going to get them installed tomorrow.
I ended up going to Cartech, just a few units beside Velocity.
Installation job was great, paint job was good but not as good compared to the OEM side skirts (but I know pearl white is the most difficult color to match), price was great too.
Comparing to other forum member's white Z's in the gallary area, the color match is pretty good.
