Default Ordering 350Z Parts In Canada

So where do you guys get your parts from. Most of the places I see are located in the US and it would be expensive to ship the parts to Canada. I bought a few things and had them shipped UPS it was totally crazy at the brokerage costs. Any ideas on where to get things???

I found that most of the time the good deals are in the states..and it still works out to be cheaper than to to buy local even with brokerage fees.
and like XuperXero said, ask them to ship by USPS or FedEx... Avoid UPS

I try to go with USPS and if they don't do USPS, I ask them to do fedex next. UPS is the last resort or no resort at all because UPS is the suck.

But doesn't fedex charge you a brokerage fee as well?

no problem,i m gonna give him a call, the shop is in salem mass, they only specialize in imports, toyotas and nissans, maybe you ll see a honda there but very rare. I m gonna get in touch with him and let him know. Also i don t hink i can post it on here so you might have to pm me.Example
i was looking for the hks titanium exhaust,i called here locals in montreal, they wanted 3000$ for it. I called a couple of shops in t.o same price. I got it for 1300$ us plus 150 to install. I ordered 2 of them me and my buddie drove down from mtl to salem. gas, hotel, and expenses was still cheaper then doing it here..If you dont mind the drive do it,but we had fun. 2 z's flying down the open highway...

i ve realized that in mtl they are nothing but crooks. These guys charge unbelievable prices here. In the states there are so many performance shops that the price wars are working in our favor.

bUmP for an answer.

I just shipped a cam to someone in New Brunswick via UPS. I did no realize that there was a difference btn carriers when it came to the brokage fee.

Oh my God you have no idea. On an item that cost me $100.00 US I paid somewhere in the neighborhood of $56.00 CDN to get it cleared by UPS. I had a shipping quote of $26.00 Us on a part that was less then $50.00. That is just crazy. I will be buying all my parts in detroit from now on.

It doesn't matter who brings it in you are going to pay brokerage fees and taxes

If you get it shipped by USPS , Canada Post will handle it and Fedex is the same as UPS.

Yep - UPS has in house brokerage which they charge to the seller (mega $). With USPS, you usually avoid brokerage but if they decide to do the transaction correctly....they will charge import fees.

Not necessarily. I've had quite a few shipments by USPS to Canada Post and CP forgot to forward duty charges etc...

UPS definitely sucks for international, but they're very cheap for shipments within the States. My typical shipment for large ticket items is to ship to the UPS store in Ogdensburg and make the 1 hr drive south from Ottawa to pick it up.

Yeah that is true , just if you had items shipped within Canada . I believe anything over $50.00 will be charged fees of some sort.

Default We can help with certain parts...

We are distributors for Stillen, JWT and Z1 Motorsports. Depending on the parts we can get fair deals. If not we will direct you where to get them. There are ways to minimize duties/brokerage if the shipper is willing to alter the invoice. The draw-back of course is that should the shipment be damaged or lost then coverage applies to the listed value. UPS/Fed-Ex/Purolator are basically the same in terms of rates. USPS is cheaper but not as reliable and you will be dinged with surcharges especially if Customs decide to process your package (over $20 Cdn Value). Putting 'Gift' or a lower value does not generally work.

On our own AMS parts we will beat out competitors. We are also a full performance and service shop located in Mississauga. Been around since 1992 servicing Z's specifically. First PE TT kit in Canada installed and documented in PAS Mag early 2003! Several other magazine features/articles are listed on our web-site. We operate on a strict appointment basis only!
