What is a fair price for a 2003 base Z w/ 100k KM? Such a vehicle in the USA is going for about 17k US.

Also, why is it that a base Z MSRP is $27900 USD ($32,387.71 CDN) in the USA whiles one in Canada starts at $49798 CDN? Does the extra equipment that the CDN one comes with standard warrant the extra $17000 markup?

In 2003 there were only three models of Z available in Canada, Performance, Enthusiast and Track. The lower models offered in the U.S were not offered here, so the price difference would be fairly reflected in the U.S version of the same car. In other words, a base Canadian 2003 Z does not exist. Do some research and you will find out what all of the equipment differences between models are.

Also the fact that the pop. in the US is much larger when compared to canada. Another reason would be the taxes, thanks gov of canada...

But I agree that you should do some research, this information is readily available.

Good luck.

Thanks guys. I am highly considering buying a brand new base from the USA and bringing it back here. The only thing it lacks that I really want (from the last time I read up on them) was the HSLD. I really like what I am hearing about the VQ35HR motor.

Sorry, my mistake, I just checked the 2003 brochure and the three models available were: Performance, Touring and Track. The Enthusiast and Base models were not available here. So yes, yours would be a Touring model.

Book value is around 33-45k depending on model. That's a year ago when I bought my car, not sure how it is now...
